Our Story

It has been a beloved spot for over 25 years. Mitchell’s offers a welcoming place to grab a specialty coffee, Italian cream soda, a slice of Coca-Cola cake, pastries, breakfast, or lunch. Each morning, Mitchell’s is filled with an eclectic mix of local residents, business people, college students, and out-of-towners all enjoying the cozy atmosphere and friendly service.

In May 2024, Mark and Saundra Biddinger, close friends of Mitchell (the original owner), purchased the iconic coffee house. They have a love for cooking delicious food, drinking great coffee and, of course, the community spirit in Lakeland! They intend to continue serving the same delicious baked goods and grill items that locals have cherished for the past two decades.

Mitchell's Coffee House remains committed to quality and community. Saundra and Mark are dedicated to maintaining the warm, welcoming atmosphere that has made Mitchell's a local favorite.
